If we discover anything wrong with your pool or equipment, we first take whatever steps are necessary to prevent damage and then contact you with an explanation and recommendation.
*Filter Cleaning: Manufacturers recommend filter cleaning a minimum of two times per year. Properly cleaned and serviced filters provide higher water quality, lower incidence of algae accumulation and reduces energy costs. It also makes for a cleaner and safer swimming pool experience for your family. Filters need to be cleaned when the gauge shows an increase of 5 to 7 PSI over the clean filter pressure.
* Filtration: Proper filtration is as important as your pool's water chemistry. A clean filter cuts down on most water quality issues. Even with rising energy costs, it's important to run your filter to ensure volume filtering of your pool's water 1.5 times per day -- this is especially important during high use periods. To accomplish this you may need to run your equipment six hours per day for DE filters and up to ten hours per day for sand and cartridge filters.
